Earth-friendly, or "green" products are becoming more available today, even in the world of bird feeders.  More models are being manufactured from "polylumber".  This polylumber is produced from recycled plastics, like milk jugs, that otherwise would be filling up our landfills.  One of our suppliers, Birds Choice (from Wisconsin) uses polylumber that is manufactured using Wisconsin plastics.  Most of their pieces will tell you how many milk jugs were used to construct that feeder.  We consider this to be a win-win for our customers.

The polylumber is guaranteed not to split, crack or fade.  Of course, we have tested this material in our own backyard and after many years of exposure to the birds and elements, our feeders look new.  The plastic is easy to clean and the colors are very complimentary to nature.
