Speciality Feeders

This section deals with all the feeders that cater to the birds who may not eat seed or eat seed in a different fashion.

Bluebirds will eat some seed but they truly enjoy insects and fruit.  These feeders allow you to make these other preferences available to the bluebirds in a manner that gives them some exclusitivity.

Hummingbirds drink nectar.  Custom feeders are designed to allow their grooved tongue to lick up nectar from some type of reservoir.

Orioles drink nectar, enjoy oranges and grape jelly.  They are attracted to the color orange and feeders are designed to offer all these choices.

Squirrels, along with many birds, love peanuts, either in the shell or out of the shell.   There are feeders designed for these large nuts; some to keep squirrels out and some to allow squirrels in.

Suet needs to be held in some type of cage-like feeder.  Woodpeckers can eat more easily if the suet/woodpecker feeder gives them a brace for their long tail.

Only a sampling of these Specialty Feeders are shown in our shopping section here.  We have ten times this amount in the store, waiting for you to pick out the one that best suits the birds in your backyard.
