This well-insulated cedar roosting box has hardwood perches inside for birds to have a safe haven on cold winter nights. Notice the entrance hole is at the bottom. Birds enter through a 1 9/16" entry hole and find themselves a spot on one of the perches. Heat rises and therefore the hole at the bottom is excellent for retaining heat inside. The front panel lifts for easy cleaning. This box will provide shelter from harsh winter weather for most common backyard birds including wrens, chickadees, nuthatches, titmice and bluebirds. There are no ventilation holes in this box as would be found in traditional bird houses meant for nesting. This roost box measures 7 x 10 x 14.5
