Nest boxes for Wood Ducks should be placed on land located from 30 to 150 feet away fromshoreline, at least 4 feet above water level with thehole facing the pond, lake, wetland or stream.  These boxes are 23" tall x 11" wide and 14.5" deep. The hole size is oval, 4" wide by 3" high.  There is a front panel opening for cleanout, the box is well ventilated.  Constructed from cedar to endure many weather changes over the years.
